What is a Quantum RF?

Quantum RF is a minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment from InMode, used to tighten the under-chin and jawline. It is cleared for procedures where soft tissue contraction is needed, and it works from beneath the skin rather than from the surface.

The area is injected with numbing fluid until it is fully numb, a small incision is made, and a thin probe is passed under the skin to heat the fat and skin layers and tighten the tissue. You are awake throughout and it is not done under general anesthesia. The incisions are small enough that stitches are usually not needed, and they are placed under the chin or in the hairline. Most people need one treatment, and the result builds over several weeks as swelling settles rather than appearing straight away.

It is not microneedling, and it is not the same as Morpheus8. Both are made by InMode, but Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency through microneedles that pass through the surface of the skin, while Quantum RF is placed underneath it. It is also not a replacement for chin liposuction where there is a lot of fat, or for a neck lift where the real problem is loose skin.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Quantum RF cost in Orlando?
Quantum RF in Orlando typically runs $1,980 to $2,970 for one treatment of the under-chin and jawline. Most people need a single treatment. Orlando offers a competitive mix of established practices and boutique studios, keeping prices close to the national median.
Is Quantum RF the same as Morpheus8?
No, though both are made by InMode. Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency through microneedles that pass through the surface of the skin. Quantum RF is placed underneath the skin through a small incision, so it reaches deeper and involves numbing fluid and a short recovery.
Does Quantum RF hurt, and will I be put under?
You are awake. The area is injected with numbing fluid until it is fully numb, so the treatment itself should not be painful. It is not done under general anesthesia. Most treatments take about an hour to an hour and a half.
How long is the recovery?
Most people are back to normal daily activity within a few days. Expect visible swelling and bruising for roughly one to two weeks, and firmness or numbness that settles over several weeks after that. The final result is not immediate because the swelling has to resolve first.
Who should not have Quantum RF?
It is not suitable if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, an active infection at the site, a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners, or if you are pregnant. Providers also ask that you be at your goal weight first, and a history of keloid scarring is worth raising because the procedure involves an incision.
