What is a Quantum RF?
Quantum RF is a minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment from InMode, used to tighten the under-chin and jawline. It is cleared for procedures where soft tissue contraction is needed, and it works from beneath the skin rather than from the surface.
The area is injected with numbing fluid until it is fully numb, a small incision is made, and a thin probe is passed under the skin to heat the fat and skin layers and tighten the tissue. You are awake throughout and it is not done under general anesthesia. The incisions are small enough that stitches are usually not needed, and they are placed under the chin or in the hairline. Most people need one treatment, and the result builds over several weeks as swelling settles rather than appearing straight away.
It is not microneedling, and it is not the same as Morpheus8. Both are made by InMode, but Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency through microneedles that pass through the surface of the skin, while Quantum RF is placed underneath it. It is also not a replacement for chin liposuction where there is a lot of fat, or for a neck lift where the real problem is loose skin.
