What is Fraxel Laser?
Fraxel is a fractional laser resurfacing treatment that addresses fine lines, acne scars, surgical scars, sun damage, and overall skin texture. It works by creating thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the skin, triggering collagen production and accelerating skin cell turnover.
Fraxel Dual uses two wavelengths — 1550 nm (deeper tissue remodeling) and 1927 nm (surface pigmentation) — allowing providers to customize treatment for your specific concerns. Recovery takes 5 to 7 days of significant redness and swelling, and results continue to improve for 3 to 6 months as new collagen builds.
Clear + Brilliant is often compared to Fraxel as a milder alternative. Fraxel produces more dramatic results but with more downtime. One to three sessions is the typical recommendation.
How much does Fraxel Laser cost?
Fraxel laser treatment nationally typically costs between $1,000 and $2,500 per session. Most patients see significant results in 1 to 3 sessions.
