What is a Combination Brows?
Combination brows (combo brows) blend two permanent makeup techniques in one treatment: crisp hair-like strokes (microblading) through the front and sparse areas of the brow, paired with soft shading or powder fill through the body and tail. The result reads as natural hairs up front fading into a defined, made-up look toward the ends.
Treatment takes 2 to 3 hours with a topical numbing cream. Brows look bold and dark for the first week, then lighten by 30 to 50% as they heal. A mandatory touch-up at 6 to 8 weeks perfects shape, density, and color. Results typically last 1 to 3 years depending on skin type and aftercare.
Combo brows suit people who want the realism of microblading but need more definition or fullness than strokes alone can deliver, especially oilier skin types where pure microblading fades faster.
How much does a Combination Brows cost?
Combination brows nationally typically cost $500 to $900 for the initial session, usually including one mandatory touch-up at 6 to 8 weeks.

What to ask your provider
- Can I see healed combo brow photos, not just fresh work?
- Why are you recommending combo over pure microblading or powder for my skin?
- Is the 6 to 8 week touch-up included in the price?
- What pigments do you use and how will they fade over time?
- How do you map and design the brow shape with me first?
- What aftercare do you provide and how strict is it?
