What is a Tummy Tuck?
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes excess abdominal skin and fat while tightening the underlying abdominal muscles. It is particularly effective for patients with loose skin after pregnancy or significant weight loss, and for those with diastasis recti (separated abdominal muscles).
A full tummy tuck requires general anesthesia and takes 2 to 4 hours. Most patients return to light activity in 2 to 3 weeks and resume normal activity at 6 to 8 weeks. Final results are visible at 3 to 6 months as swelling fully resolves.
A mini tummy tuck addresses only the lower abdomen below the belly button and has a shorter scar and faster recovery. A combined tummy tuck with lipo 360 (circumferential liposuction) is commonly performed together for more comprehensive torso contouring.
How much does a Tummy Tuck cost?
A tummy tuck nationally typically starts at $9,000, with most procedures ranging from $9,000 to $18,000 all-in depending on whether it is a mini or full procedure and whether liposuction is combined.

- What does the quoted price include — surgeon fee, facility, anesthesia, compression garment, and follow-up visits?
- What are your protocols for DVT prevention and post-op drain management?
- Am I at a stable weight? Will future pregnancies affect results?
