What is a VI Peel?
The VI Peel is a medical-grade chemical peel that combines TCA, salicylic acid, phenol, vitamin C, and tretinoin to address pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and skin texture in a single treatment. It is one of the few chemical peels safe for all skin tones, including darker Fitzpatrick skin types (IV–VI) that are at higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from other treatments.
The peel is applied in-office and takes about 30 minutes. Peeling begins 2 to 3 days after treatment and is complete by day 7. Most patients see results within 7 to 10 days. A series of 3 peels spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is recommended for stubborn pigmentation or acne.
The VI Peel comes in several formulas — VI Peel Original, VI Peel Precision Plus (for hyperpigmentation), VI Peel Advanced (for anti-aging), and VI Peel Purify (for acne). Your provider will recommend the right formula for your concern. Pricing is typically per session.
